PowerArchiver This is a very powerful tool for unzipping and zipping programs. PowerArchiver comes with a long array or useful features and has built-in support for all major file formats, such as ZIP, LHA (LZH), BH, TAR, GZ, BZ2, RAR, ARJ, ARC, ACE, ZOO, GZIP, BZIP2, XXU and UUE Internet encoded files.
PowerArchiver is pretty easy to use. For instance, if you have downloaded a game that is compressed (zipped). Before you do anything else, download and install PowerArchiver. Once that's done, open the zip file and PowerArchiver will open. Then click on Extract button at the top and a new window will pop up (see below).
It's very important to make sure that you have checked "All Files" in this Extract menu. Otherwise, you will not be able to install the game. This is the default setting, but it can be changed manually (by accident). Select the folder where you want to extract the files and then click on Extract. When the extraction is done, open that folder and there should be an exe file, which will install the game. If the game comes without having to install it, then that exe file is actually the file that will start the game.
