"This is the perfect way to
get your hair off your face without getting rid of any length,"
says hairstylist Garren, who styled this look at the Marc Jacobs
show (which was also spotted at Michael Kors and Giorgio Armani).
This style works for hair of almost
any length.
How to get the look:
When hair is damp, apply a spray-on
texturizer. Blow-dry hair so it's smooth, or let it dry naturally so
it is wavy or curly. "Then, take the hair that would normally
rest against the sides of your face and pull up and back," says
Garren. Attach these two sections and secure with a hairpin or
elastic band. To keep this style looking modern, not matronly, be
sure not to pull hair too tight and let a few pieces fall free. Try:
Redken Traction.
