How To Care For It
Being blessed with problem free hair means that it's simple to care for. All you need to so is shampoo every two or three days and treat your hair to a deep conditioning treatment once a month. Have a trim every six to eight weeks to prevent split ends. Also avoid excessive exposure to the sun and over using heated appliances which can turn normal hair into dry hair.

 


OILY HAIR
Problem
Hair becomes greasy and lank soon after washing and needs frequent shampooing to prevent it from looking dirty. And although it is oily at the scalp it may also have dry ends.

Causes
* Stress and exercise can cause excessive sweating,  which can clog the pores of the scalp when combines with pollution and dust. Sweat also increases the amount of sebum (natural oil) produced by sebaceous glands making hair appear greasy.
* Hormonal problems, sudden diet changes (and poor nutrition) and hot, humid weather can also cause an over production of sebum.
* Brushing your hair too much spreads the sebum along the hair shaft.

Action
* A specialty shampoo for oily hair will clean with out drying out, therefore maintaining the correct balance of natural oils.

Causes
* Misuse or overuse of colorants or perms.
* Using a shampoo that is too strong - this can strip away the hair's natural oils. Shampooing too often will do the same.
* Damage from the sun's ultra violet rays.
* Over styling with heated equipment including blow dryers, hot rollers, curling tong and straightening irons. The latter two are especially damaging as they weaken the bonds in the hair, not only do they cause stress, they can actually burn.
* Rough treatment, using elastic bands, sharp ended brushes or combs and over teasing.
* Your genes. Dry hair is often hereditary.

Action
* Avoid cheap brushes and combs; quality tools have better bristles or teeth and are more gentle.
* Have your hair trimmed every six weeks to remove split ends.
* Opt for a very mild shampoo (formulated for dry hair) and don't use it more than twice a week.
* Use an intensive or restructuring conditioner to strengthen your hair. Look for an ingredient called keratin, which improves the structure and promotes elasticity. Vitamin complexes and plant extracts can also add moisture.
* Wear a hat whenever your hair is exposed to harsh sunlight for more than half an hour.

COMBINATION HAIR
Problem
Most commonly, this type of hair is dry at the ends with a greasy scalp.

Causes
* This hair is basically greasy, but prolonged over use of too strong shampoos, heated styling equipment, bleaching or roller setting have made the ends dry and brittle.
Action
* Use a mild shampoo for frequent washing to selectively treat damaged areas of hair. Massage well into the roots where grease accumulates and attracts dirt, then let lather work its  way upwards.
* Massage conditioner into the ends of the hair, avoiding the scalp and the roots.
* Use a moisturizing treatment once a week.
* Have the ends of the hair trimmed regularly to prevent further splitting and breakage.

DANDRUFF
Problem
Dandruff is signaled by white or yellow flakes originating at the scalp. It occurs when the natural process of skin shedding gets out of hand. 
Causes
